Policy and Priorities: The future of partnership working
14 June 2010 – Local Government House, London
Total Place has offered Local Strategic Partnerships the opportunity to respond proactively and innovatively to the changing economic picture. The anticipated reduction in public spending will require new ways of thinking and new approaches to partnership working so that public services can be delivered in different ways. This event will draw together partners from across the South East in London to consider how partnerships can respond to the demand for better, lower cost, public services.
‘Policy and Priorities: The future of partnership working’ is a free event which will bring people together to find out more about partnership working post election and how it offers a way of responding to changes in the economic landscape. The London based event on 14th June 2010 will consider:
- The impact of government policy priorities in respect of partnership working
- Total Place ‘What will be the impact on a national level’
- The future shape of public service delivery and the impact for strategic partnerships
- Working in partnership to increase efficiency and value for money
The day will offer delegates the opportunity to consider and debate partnership working post election and will allocate time in order to share examples of best practice. Learning from the event will help delegates to ensure that they are doing everything they can to respond to the impact of the recession in the short term and prepare for the recovery in the longer term. The outline for the day is as follows:
