Coaching Services

Individual personal growth or team coaching

Tailored one-to-one programmes designed to meet specific individual and/or organisational needs

In a recent CIPD survey of 500 UK employers, 92% of training managers reported their belief that coaching has a positive effect on the bottom line (CIPD Impact August 2006).

Benefits and outcomes

  • Focus on specific goals, in a confidential environment
  • Swift changes with a 1:1 approach to development
  • Time out, in your own workplace, to reflect and refresh
  • Helps to encourage a coaching culture to improve performance

Coaching can complement other development programmes and work alongside performance management procedures, to ensure real impact for the coachee and the organisation.

Context

Whether it is about leadership or management behaviours and skills, communication, self-confidence or the need for a fresh look at yourself in times of change, coaching will make a difference. At the core of coaching is an attractive philosophy; that we all hold within ourselves the potential for change. It is a self-empowering approach to emotional development, encouraging us to take responsibility for our actions and thoughts. By changing ourselves, we change the way others respond to us, and the way we approach the world.

The role of the coach

To guide the coachee through business problems and individual challenges in order to:

  • Clarify issues and development objectives
  • Challenge limiting beliefs
  • Evaluate options
  • Decide on a compelling course of action

"I was finding my new job difficult.  I knew that I had the skills but was really feeling, at the start of these sessions, that I was not doing my job well.  The 1:1 coaching sessions gave me back my confidence to use these skills and build on them.  During these sessions I found that I was listened to and given some new techniques to use". Catherine Parr, Wycombe District Council
