The Management Development Skills Portal
SEE have partnered with JGP (Jobs Go Public) to develop the Management Development Skills Portal. This innovative online solution provides local authority managers with a simple and efficient way of capturing their skills, and a way to access focused and appropriate development. The resulting data will help authorities to meet a range of seemingly diverse local, regional and national workforce challenges.
The Management Development Skills Portal enables local authority managers to complete a brief personal demographic survey and then assess themselves against a set of management competencies devised from the Management Standards Centre (MSC). It is also possible for particular authorities to choose to have this self-assessment confirmed by the individual’s line manager or for all managers to utilise 360 feedback functionality as part of the system. Following this simple process, the system provides ‘touch of the button’ analysis to HR professionals, stakeholders and line managers.
