About us
SEE is a Regional Employers' Organisation. We offer advice to local authorities across the south east, in addition to a range of training, development and consultancy opportunities tailored to your needs.
This course will cover:
- building trust and rapport
- communication
- managing conflict
- facilitating negotiation
- maintaining confidentiality
You will also challenge your own feelings to ensure you remain objective, impartial and constructive. These skills are transferable across all areas at work, from team working, managing staff, and building effective relationships with external partners and the community.
Option 1: 3 day course based on a minimum of 10 participants. Cost would include all preparation, materials for the participants and 4 trainer days (one day will have 2 x trainers to get the most out of the practical aspects). Time will be built in for role play to help the participants become confident in the process. This will allow the council to respond to workplace issues and disputes quickly and sensitively.
Option 2: If anyone would like this course closer to home, how about liaising with another nearby council and hold it at one of your venues? We would ask you to provide lunch / refreshments for each day and as a “thank you” would offer one free place to the host council with the balance being divided between the other councils involved. We would also need some equipment - laptop linked to an LDC projector and a screen for powerpoint slides / flip chart. Costs would cover all preparation, materials for the participants and 4 trainer days (as above).
