I have been involved in the Test Valley Strategic Partnership since it began in 2002.  My role has been to represent the voluntary sector on the board of the LSP.  At the end of 2006 I became Vice Chair and then Chairman in June 2007. I also chair the executive group of the LSP and am Chairman of the Community Development Partnership in Test Valley.

I am passionate about partnership working and believe that the Test Valley Partnership is really making a difference especially in our most deprived wards.  I have taken one of the lead roles in developing a community development project in this ward.  The success of this project is due to the excellent partnerships that we have in Test Valley.

In February 2008 I became a Peer reviewer with Solace/Idea.  This means I take on assignments throughout the country and work with a small team to review the effectiveness of their LSP.  This work is extremely interesting and a great learning experience.  It enables me to bring new ideas to Hampshire.

I sit on most partnerships in Test Valley, which gives me a good picture about activity across the various partnerships that feed into the LSP. These include, Community Safety, Health and Well Being, Children and Young People, Education

My ‘day job’ is as Chief Executive of Test Valley Community services, the CVS for Test Valley.
