Two and a half years as chair of Lewes LSP, to December 2008.

Experience of forming vision and strategy:

Involved closely with writing Sustainable Community Strategy and LSP self assessments.

Initiated and jointly wrote LSP Induction Guide.

Experience of leadership:

Qualified manager with wide experience of chairing partnerships. Previously managed departments of up to 250 staff, and managed a variety of smaller teams.

Works to bring together people from different fields for mutual benefit.

NVQ assessor, so has supported a wide range of students to achieve qualifications.

Patient listener and confident speaker – have facilitated and spoken at conferences and chaired many meetings.

Assignment: Cross-border conference for six LINks groups

Host: East Sussex LINk

Approximately 60 people attended the conference from Surrey, Kent, Medway, East and West Sussex and Brighton & Hove – bringing together 6 local LINks for the first time. There were very positive contributions from the participants. A post-conference pack, and a possible case study, is planned by the host team from LINk.
